Obituary

John M. Pinto
September 5, 2021

John (“Jack”) Pinto, age 63, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2021.

John was the beloved son of Robert and Gladys Pinto of Tewksbury, MA. He spent 39 years married to Nancy Pinto, of Billerica, MA. He was the father to Jason Pinto, of Lowell, MA, Jessica Beaudoin, of Haverhill, MA, and to Bobby Pinto, who tragically also recently passed away.

John is survived by his sister Kimberly Nelson, of Wilmington, MA, and his brother Matthew Pinto of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his youngest brother Jeffrey Pinto. John was also beloved by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other relatives.

Born on June 19, 1958, in Leesville, Louisiana, John spent nearly all of his life residing in Wilmington, MA and Tewksbury, MA.
He graduated from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in 1976, where he learned the art of cooking through the Culinary vocational program. John went on to spend many years working as a chef. His family fondly remembers that his love for cooking never wavered.

Later in his life, John spent many years working for the United States Postal Service. He greatly enjoyed his walking routes and the social aspect of that job.

In his free time, John loved listening to music. He found so much happiness attending concerts with family and friends. His family will forever picture John smiling and singing whenever they hear a Neil Young song.

John loved being outdoors. He spent many of his favorite days on Seabrook Beach. When he was younger, he greatly enjoyed playing tennis and basketball during the warmer months, and he was passionate about skiing in the winter.

His family is very grateful to everyone to everyone that supported John throughout the years. Many friends and workmates did that through kind gestures, by making him laugh, by encouraging him through difficult times, and by putting up with his insistence on playing music at a volume that might have been a bit too loud for everyone else.

Throughout his life, John brought a lot of joy to all of those around him. His family and friends will treasure those memories.

At the request of his family, funeral services will be private.
