Charles F. Pendleton, age 76, of Hanson, Massachusetts died on September 6, 2021 after a prolonged illness.
Born in Cambridge, MA on August 17, 1945 he was the son of the late Ethel and Clarence Pendleton.
He graduated from Hyde Park High School and Bay State Academy, before starting his long-standing career in the Air Freight Industry, where he eventually retired from Old Dominion Freight Line. He spent a few years as a Volunteer Firefighter in the town of Hanson where he made many forever friends.
He married the love of his life, Marilyn (Crawford) Pendleton in September 1965. They settled and raised their family for 56 years in Hanson, Massachusetts.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn, he leaves behind his 4 children. Stacey (Pendleton) Reed and her husband Richard Reed of Halifax, MA, Michelle (Pendleton) Vlachos and her husband Christopher Vlachos of Kingston, MA, David Pendleton and his wife Niki (Courtemanche) of Auburn, Maine, Amy (Pendleton) Harkins and her husband Brian Harkins of Lunenburg, MA. He also leaves behind his younger brother Thomas Pendleton (whom he raised) and his wife Susan (Watkins) of Rockland, MA. Charles was the beloved Bumpa to 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved to brag about them to anyone that would listen!
He is also survived by his sister Karen Eade of Anna, Texas and countless nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, along with many, many very cherished friends from all over but especially from Hanson and The Hitching Post.
He is predeceased by his siblings, the late Edmund Pendleton, Mildred Pendleton, Harry Pendleton, Ruth Riddle, Elaine Manning and Peter Rioux.
