Lynn E. McCarthy, 68 of Dracut, passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 4th, 2021 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after an extended period of declining health.
She was born in Lowell on February 27, 1953 and was a daughter of the late Francis J. McCarthy and the late Dorothy J. (Leary) McCarthy. She was raised in the Dracut area where she attended the area schools including Lowell High School before graduating with her Associates Degree in Nursing.
After nursing school, Lynn worked in the nursing field for many years before working for Northwood Nursing Home, as a nursing supervisor during the 1980-1990’s before illness forced her retirement.
Lynn is survived by her siblings, Gary W. McCarthy and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Dracut, Laurel J. Clarke and her husband, Thomas of York, ME, and Glenn F. McCarthy and his wife, Tammy of Tyngsborough; her lifelong dearest friends, Beverly (Mann) Kley of Derry, NH, Mark English of Manchester, NH and James J. McPhillips of Dracut, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
