Fannie Mae Boyd made her grand entrance into this world on March 8, 1923, in Madison, GA to her parents the late Wallace and Mary Lizzie Boyd. She and her siblings Ollie Mae Boyd-Perryman and Walter Boyd both deceased worked alongside their father until she met and married her late husband Freddie P. Perryman also of Madison, GA. They started a family and decided that moving up north would provide greater opportunity for their children.
.Fannie was a valuable employee of Goddess Bra A Woman’s undergarment factory in Cambridge, MA. Like Jesus who was a carpenter and used his hands so did Fannie as a stitcher who creatively used hers to create garments. This is also where she met her long-time friend and co-worker Elmonda whom she considered like a daughter to her and her late husband Bryan.
On July 4th, 1982 she became a devout member, Deacon and prayer warrior of Elliot Congregational Church of Roxbury, MA. under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Sizemore followed by the leadership of Pastor Ozzie Edwards.
Fannie leaves to cherish her beloved daughters Rev., Dr. Barbara A. Perryman, Pastoral Minister Dorothy A. Perryman and Betty J. Perryman (Deceased) of all of Boston, MA as well as her loving granddaughter Shawne N. Perryman and her great-grandson Sean N. Perryman-Futrell who was affectionally known as “my little boy.” Her nieces Geraldine, Linda, Marilyn and Carilyn, Mary and Juanita and a host of great nieces and nephews. As well as The Beckers, Clements, DeGraca, Futrell, Lucas, Mendes-Murray, Prescott, Rosario, Sutton and Thomson families.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday September 16, 2021 from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home located at 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, Ma. Burial will be immediately following the service in Oaklawn Cemetery located at 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, Ma.
