Jimmy C. Gray, 77, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be 11 AM, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Ray Johnson officiating.
Mr. Gray was born August 26, 1944, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Lonnie & Ruby Fulford Gray. He was a 1964 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division and 1st Calvary, during the Vietnam War. He worked with Ben Hill Finance for 37 ½ years. Mr. Gray loved spending time with his grandchildren and he loved fishing and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Johnson Gray of Fitzgerald; two sons: Jason & Bonnie Gray and Chris Gray, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Lyndee Gray and Luke Gray; and a brother, Lamar Gray of Sylvester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Gray.
