Wilfredo “Fredy” Nieves, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Friday, September 10, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Funeral Home in Fitzgerald Georgia.
Mr. Nieves was born November 2, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a forklift driver for MDI and a former employee of Triangle Pools. He loved visiting car shows and restoring vintage cars. He was very proud of being sober for 13 years, Freddy was actively involved in the local AA chapter and was a big supporter of the group. He enjoyed visiting friends and family.
Mr. Nieves is survived by his daughter, Karen Kelly & Will of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Spain Kelly & Christina Olivares and Adam Kelly; siblings: Diego Nieves of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico; a sister-in-law, Barbara Adam of Fitzgerald; a caretaker and neighbor, Debbie Ring and her children: Melissa Ring and Junior Ring. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Adam Nieves.
