Worcester: Inge C. Hayward, nee Ingerose Christine Weiher, 74, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 5, 2021 peacefully at the home of her daughter, following a brief illness. She leaves a son Roger Hayward and his wife Sharon of Charlton; a daughter Tanja Hayward of Paxton; 4 grandchildren- Amir, Alexander, Jared and Lydia, a brother Klaus Goetz and several nieces and nephews in Germany. She was predeceased by a daughter Natalia Redenbaugh and by siblings Hartmut Weiher, Renate Weiher, and Rudolph Goetz.
Ingerose was born in Mannheim, Germany, daughter of the late Mathaus Weiher and Luise Gertraud Junger. She emigrated to the US in when she was just 17 years old after falling in love with an American GI stationed there, Daniel Hayward. Inge was one of the strongest and most resilient women one could ever know, although she did not see herself that way. She had a genuine heart for people—especially any “underdog” and would fight valiantly on their behalf. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and style, her love of music and dancing, but above all, her faith in God. Her legacy is her family. They were her whole life and her greatest joy came from spending time with them. She will be forever in our hearts until we meet again.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 26th at 1:00pm at Living Word Church on 30 Tyler Prentice Road in Worcester, MA.
