Obituary

HAUSE, Phyllis Ann (O’Connor)
We are saddened to announce that our beloved mother and her twinkling blue Irish eyes left us on September 4, 2021.

Phyllis loved well and was well-loved in return. She took great pleasure in learning and instilled her children with that same insatiable curiosity. It gave our mother great joy that her children genuinely like each other and enjoy doing things together. Her grace, strength, and fortitude were on full display as her battle with pancreatic cancer came to an end.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, and daughter, Aimee; parents Frank and Clara O’Connor; her sisters, Geraldine, Jackie, and Sharon and her brother, Dick; DIL Martha and SIL Bruce Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her 11 children: Alice Johnson, Clyde P. (Elaine), Christopher (Cindy), Curtis (Joan), Matthew (Esperanza), Mark (Julia), Michael (Kris), Timothy (Julie), Marilyn (Pat) Schullo, Emily (Scott) Brooks, and Marjorie (Michael) Kennedy; 28 wonderful grandchildren and their many loving spouses, and 6, soon to be 7, great-children; her sisters Alice (Sister Frances CSC) and Kathie (Jim) Thompson, and her three younger brothers Frank (Ann), Tim (Maureen) and Dennis (Jan), many loving nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Phyllis was born in Detroit, MI in the early days of the Depression. As the fifth of 10 children she learned the most important things in life are family and love. She and Clyde were married in 1950 and in the next 16 years welcomed their 12 fabulous children. In 1960 Phyllis and Clyde and the eight oldest children relocated to St. Paul and began their life adventures in Minnesota. Always up for new experiences, along with living in Detroit and St. Paul Phyllis and Clyde lived in Hudson, WI; Marco Island, FL; Nisswa, MN; and Oakdale, MN. They traveled extensively visiting every continent and enjoying many wonders along the way. Through the triumphs and tragedies of her life, Phyllis persevered with courage and determination. We thank Health Partners Hospice, especially her RN Jordan Gault, for their warm and caring support for Phyllis during these past few months.
