BALDWIN – Jessica L. Frost, age 23, passed away on September 4, 2021 unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident.
She was born in Portland, ME on May 28, 1998, a daughter of Edward T. Frost and Carol (Kimball) Frost. After graduating from Sacopee Valley High School in 2016 she went to University of North Dakota to start her education in Nursing, after a semester abroad in Costa Rica she returned home and changed to the Health Sciences program at University of Southern Maine. She completed her degree, BS in Health Sciences just 2 weeks ago with a 3.6 GPA. She was looking forward to possibly continue her education to either become a Speech Therapist or work towards owning her own childcare business.
Jessica was stubborn and determined in everything she did. We were fortunate to be able to watch her experience many things in her life, from playing soccer when she was very young, playing softball right through High School, trip to Costa Rica with Ms. Day’s Crew! College introduced her to many more experiences, the best of which was learning about and saving the Leather Back Sea Turtle in Costa Rica.
She enjoyed many things throughout her short life. Spending time with her grandparents was important to her, whether sitting and chatting with her grandfathers, baking Christmas cookies with her grandmother, or assisting with the Christmas tree and looking for the “Pickle” on the tree. She learned many baking tricks and made the BEST biscuits! Jessica was fortunate to enjoy camp with her grandparents, whether up to First Roach, or at Crystal Lake, she loved ‘Camp’. She enjoyed fishing for Stripers with her father and traveling with her mother, especially to NYC on her 21st birthday. We have always called her a crazy cat lady due to her love for cats.
The greatest joy for Jessica was being Aunty to Oakley. Oakley snuggles ALWAYS made Jess relaxed and happy. Jessica provided care for many children over the past 8 years. She adored all the children she cared for and always wanted the best for them. She especially adored working with special needs children and helping them overcome difficulties.
Jessica is predeceased by her grandparents Richard and Evelyn Kimball, and stepfather Richard ‘Gene’ Black. She is survived by her parents, Edward (and Karen) Frost, and Carol (Kimball) Frost, brother Donald and wife Ciaran, and sister Julia and partner Kyle Etheridge. Her nieces Oakley and Marlee, whom she did not meet. She is also survived by her grandparents Thomas and Katherine (Sylvester) Frost.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Sept. 16 from 6 - 8 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., in Cornish. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Princeton NJ 08540 in support of her desire to help children and her future desire to work with children and continue by possibly doing speech therapy.
