Margaret Mary "Marge" (Schrenker) Hittle, 99, passed away on September 4, 2021 at Bethany Pointe Healthcare in Anderson.
She was born on October 29, 1921 in Elwood, the daughter of Robert and Sophia (Meidel) Schrenker. She was a 1939 graduate of Elwood High School and later was employed by Delco Remy as a secretary for eight years. She married Robert E. Hittle on February 2, 1952. Marge was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Dolphin Club, and 3rd Order of Fransiscans.
She is survived by seven children; Robert Hittle, Mary Jo (Marty) Makielski, Anne (Bill) Grossman, Mark (Mary Beth) Hittle, Susan Snider, James (Patricia) Hittle, Michael (Paula) Hittle; 18 grandchildren; Hannah, Nick, Sam and Rose Hittle, Margie Avezua Perez, Peter and Andy Makielski, Sarah and Andrew Grossmann, Jennnifer Warniner, Michael and Matthew Hittle, Joey Guarnery, Mary Anne Rodriguez, Tommy Guarnery, Katie, Tommy, and Chrissy Hittle; seven great grandchildren; Coen and Nathaniel Wariner, Grey and Isla Rodriguez, Jonathan Hittle, Alex and William Guarnery, several nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. Hittle, six brothers; Robert, John, Henry, Paul, Everett, and Albert Schrenker and sister, Julia Stuchell.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson with Father Tom Metzger officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will also be held at the church beginning at 9 AM
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
