Drew L. Thomas, 71, of Ocilla Georgia, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald Georgia.
Private services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Monday evening, September 6, 2021, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Thomas was born July 19, 1950, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Drewey Lamar & Mattie Joe Hutchinson Cauley. He lived in the community most of his life and graduated from Irwin County High School in 1970. Mr. Thomas operated a lawn care service. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing guitars. Mr. Thomas was a member of the band First Class and The Saints.
He is survived by two sons: Jason & Candice Thomas, Rusty Thomas; five grandchildren: Alex & Larissa Thomas, Caiden Thomas, Christian Brown, Gage Thomas and Kolton Thomas; one great-grandchild, Scarlett Thomas; three sisters: Marlene Aldridge, Glenda Williamson and Amy Goins; two brothers: Joe Thomas and Stevey Thomas; a step-sister, Linda Youngblood; a step-brother, Billy Rodgers and his step-mother, Helen Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Thomas.
