Obituary

Gerard A. Beauregard, Jr. 71, of Woonsocket died Wednesday evening September 1, 2021 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Ghislaine J. “Joyce” (Sirois) Beauregard. They were married on September 6, 1969.
Born in Woonsocket Jerry was a son of Gerard G. Beauregard, Sr. of Woonsocket and the late Irene (Chasse) Beauregard. He was raised in Cumberland and lived in Woonsocket for over 35 years.
Mr. Beauregard was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Loring Air Force Base and earned the rank of Sergeant.
After serving his country he returned to the Northern Rhode Island area.
Gerard was known to friends as either Jerry or Beau. He was employed at several area companies including HealthTex, Miller Electric and at BJs Wholesale for many years before retiring. Jerry was a former member of the Cercle Lauirer club.
Jerry was an avid New England sports fan.
Jerry liked to follow local events especially listening to the Larry Poitras show. Jerry relished the open road and seeing different areas. Some favorite and memorable destinations were Florida, Lake George, New York and Laconia, New Hampshire. Jerry was a true car man, he especially like Mustangs and other muscle cars.
In addition to his wife of over 52 years Jerry is survived by his three sons, Carl Beauregard, and his wife Jennifer of Azle, Texas, Danny Beauregard and his wife Susan of Woonsocket and Neil Beauregard and his wife Grethell Briones of Proctorsville, Vermont. He was the brother of Kenneth “Kenny” Beauregard and his wife Jill of Woonsocket. Jerry is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Jerry’s funeral will be Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Church on Mendon Road in Cumberland. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
