Norma (Festa) Madden, a long-time Medford resident, formerly of Dorchester, died Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 83.
Mrs. Madden was born and raised in Dorchester the daughter of the late Rafaello and the late Pasqualina (Montefiso) Festa. Norma worked many years at the Massachusetts State House on Beacon Hill.
She was the beloved wife of the late Augustine Michael Madden. She was a devoted mother to Elaine Sullivan and her husband Matt of Medford and the late Michael Madden. She was a loving grandmother to Charles Curtin of Malden, Norma D’Orio of Medford, Michael Madden of Milton, Christopher Madden of Braintree and also leaves 10 great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister of Rose Christopher of East Boston.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 10 AM in St. Clement Church, Medford- Somerville. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
