MARLBOROUGH: Rita Mae (Crimmins) Soulia, 87, died on August 26, 2021.
She was born in Worcester on January 8, 1934 the daughter of the late Francis Crimmins and Mary (King) Crimmins.
Rita is survived by her daughter Roberta Powell and her husband Stephen of Wellfleet, formerly of Wayland; her son, Timothy Barry of Provincetown and her brother Jack Crimmins and his wife Lori of Newport, RI formerly of Wayland. Also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Maureen Barry McKenna and sister of the late Francis Crimmins.
Rita graduated from Framingham State Teacher’s College with the Class of 1955, with a degree in home economics. She had a long career teaching within Massachusetts and in Florida. Rita finally retired at the age of 82 from Traditions of Wayland.
A Memorial Mass in her memory will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:30 am at Good Shepherd Parish at ST. ANN CHURCH, 134 Cochituate Road (Rt 27), Wayland.
