SPENCER: Judith A. (Gordon) Vitkos, 79, of Bacon Hill Road died Thursday, September 2 in UMass Memorial Hospital.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, James A. Vitkos, a son Todd J. Vitkos and his wife Angelique of Spencer, two daughters Melanie A. Williamson and her husband Arthur of Spencer and Kelly A. Vitkos of Spencer, four brothers; Jack Gordon and his wife Eleanor of Spencer, Gerald Gordon and his wife Elaine of Spencer, James Gordon of Spencer and Jan Gordon and his wife Jeanne of Spencer, six grandchildren; Adam, Emily, Kory, Katelyn, Nikko & Adrian, three great grandchildren; Liliana, Mateo & Owen and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings.
Judith was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Helen (Barrett) Gordon. First and foremost, she was a loving Wife, Mother, and homemaker and she cherished her role as "Grandma." She enjoyed playing bingo and taking bus trips to the casino. She ran the kitchen at the Knight of Columbus for several years.
At Judith's request funeral services will be held privately. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish Memorial Fund,46 Maple Street, Spencer, MA 01562. J.
