Mazllem Shehu, 85, of Worcester died Thursday, September 2nd at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Dhurata (Sela) Shehu; a son, Eduard Shehu and, his wife, Suela; a daughter, Entela (Shehu) Harito and her husband, Sokol all of Worcester; and five grandchildren, Lorena, Erik, Ema, Thomas and Abby.
He was born in Gjirokaster, Albania the son of Nevzat and Shefko (Dabulla) Shehu. Before immigrating to the United States in 2001, Mazllem was a military officer responsible for the security of the Prime Minister and his cabinet. He enjoyed spending time outdoors especially walking in the park with his friends and family.
Mazllem’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7th from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in HOPE CEMETERY, 119 Webster Street, Section 99.
