Frances M. Lipka, 81 of Peabody passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after a long and valiant fight with cancer. She was the devoted wife of Robert F. Lipka, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Frances Matula. After graduating Salem High School, she attended Chandler Secretarial School. Following her marriage to Robert Lipka on October 18, 1959, she devoted her time and energy to the raising of her young family. Her primary career as her children entered school was as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years for the Department of Human Resources in the City of Salem. She and her devoted husband Robert enjoyed many trips to Hawaii. Frances spent her life unconditionally loving her family and friends. You could always count on Frances for anything.
In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her sister Patricia Cassista and husband Armand Cassista, her daughters; Sharon Mastrogiacomo, Laurie Beninati and husband Roberto Beninati, and her son Mark Lipka and wife Sally Lipka. In addition, Frances was blessed with eight grandchildren; Mathew Mastrogiacomo and his wife Kate, Nicholas Mastrogiacomo, Melissa Mastrogiacomo, Scott Beninati, Rachel Beninati, Ryan Lipka, Kaitlyn Lipka and Samantha Lipka.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at John Paul II Divine Mercy Shrine, 30 St. Peter Street, Salem, MA 01970 at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
