Obituary

KARNIEJ- Of Haverhill, formerly of Chelsea, April 8th, Regina H. (Napiurkowski). Devoted mother of Jerzy Tomon and his wife Krystyna of Poland, Zofia Suchcicki and her husband Stanley of Chelsea, Elizabeth Davy and her husband Leo of Ponte Verda, Florida, Eva Fiacchino and her husband Carl of Salem, New Hampshire and Lester Karniej of Haverhill. Beloved sister of the late Janina Krupka, Stella Sadowska, Olek Napiurkowski and Wladek Napiurkowski. Lovingly survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Wednesday morning, April 12th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut Street, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Expressions of sympathy in Regina's name may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9, Lawrence, MA.

Born in Montague, Massachusetts, Regina, age 95 passed away Saturday morning at her home in Haverhill, where she has resided for the last 5 years after a progessive illness.

As an infant, her parents as well as her siblings returned to Poland. After 50 years, she returned to the United States, settling first in Cambridge, then in Chelsea. For over 25 years she worked at the Premier Restaurant on Dover Street in Boston. She was an active member of St. Stanislaus Parish and a member of the St. Stan's Get Together Club.
