Steven Leonard Lyon, 73, of Tifton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mr. Lyon will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born April 9, 1948, in Binghamton, New York, Mr. Lyon was the son of the late Leonard Plunkett Lyon and Dorothy Taber Lyon. Before retiring, he worked as a chef and businessman. He enjoyed ministering to seniors through the Leroy Rogers Senior Center.
Mr. Lyon is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sisk Lyon of Tifton; three sons and their spouses, Jeremy and Kayla Lyon, Jeffrey and Brandi Lyon, and Joshua Lyon; three daughters and their spouses, Jennifer and Michael Stevenson, Jessica Stanfield, and Jodi and Kim Griffin; one sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Barry McCullough; ten grandchildren, Christopher Stevenson, Zachery Lyon, Ashley Stanfield, Autumn Fogarty, Gavin Fogarty, Zackary Cospelich, Hannah Fallin, Anyston Lyon, Paxton Lyon and Parker Lyon; and five great-grandchildren.
