Joanne Kellaway, age 67 of Taunton, (formerly of Rockland) passed peacefully surrounded by family on August 28, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lorraine Kellaway of Rockland. She was the sister to the late Richard Kellaway of Dorchester, Kendall Kellaway of Norwell and Patricia (Kellaway) Hess of Stoughton.
She is survived by her brother John Kellaway of Derry, NH, her sister Susan (Kellaway) Creeden of Wareham and the Hauver family of Taunton; which has been her second loving family for fourteen years and to whom we shall always be grateful.
Throughout her life we learned early on what it meant to be compassionate and accepting of people in all their uniqueness. She was the beloved " Auntie Jo" to 20 nieces and nephews as well as 16 great nieces and nephews.
Joanne was raised in Rockland and graduated from Rockland High School in 1974. She was employed by the former Del Manor Nursing Home and was known for never wanting to miss a party. She loved to spend her time with family and friends, going out to eat, spending a day at the casino with the penny machines or watching the Three Stooges and Wheel of Fortune. Jo enjoyed her puzzle books and listening to CDs of Kenny Rogers, Frankie Vaille and the Beach Boys of which she never tired.
In the next chapter of her journey we are sure she was received by God and her family with open arms, rosary beads, and a box of dominoes with a big smile on her face.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday September 3, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, MA. Burial to follow in the Colebrook Cemetery Whitman, MA.
