Obituary

Charles Bradford “Brad” Courson, 35, of Tifton went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 29, 2021. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church in Douglas with the Rev. Rodney Courson, Jr. officiating. Brad will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglas. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Brandon Clark, Charles Clark, David Courson, Robert Barfield, Randy Bloodworth and Brad McWilliams will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tifton Masonic Lodge Brothers.

Born August 8, 1986, in Tift County, Brad was the son of Charles Vernon Courson and Peggy Clark Courson of Tifton. He worked at Courson Construction Company and, formerly, as an electrician at Tanner Electric. Brad loved his son, Chase Amory Courson, more than life itself, along with his mother, father and brother. He loved the Tifton Masonic brothers and everything they stand for. He always enjoyed helping them with all fundraisers and working at the Masonic Children’s Home in Macon. He loved baseball and he played until he was 19. He loved to hunt and fish. He is playing with his beloved dog, Sissy, now, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his Papa Courson, Grandma Courson, Uncle Jeff Courson and Granny Clark.

In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his son, Chase Amory Courson of Tifton; and one brother and sister-in-law, Trenton Vernon and Miranda Rose Courson of Tifton.
