Raymond Bruce Stephens, 70, of Oxnard, CA, passed away on August 23, 2021 at his home in Oxnard, CA. Raymond was born in Ventura, CA at the old Bard Hospital to parents Charles Rex Stephens and Elizabeth Louise Stephens on November 6, 1950. He went to high school at Ventura High and graduated in 1969. He went on to study at Ventura College. He served in the U.S. Military in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed restoring hot-rods, going to car shows, and watching NASCAR. He passed with 30 years sobriety.
Raymond is survived by his wife Velma (Yvonne) Stephens, brother Carl Gowan, daughter April Stephens, son Sean Stephens, granddaughter Nicole Coryell, grandson Allen Coryell, great grandson Brayden Coryell and great granddaughter Jasmine Coryell. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Rex Stephens and mother Elizabeth Louise Stephens.
Family and friends are invited to a Visiting Hours from 10am to 12Noon on September 10, 2021 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 East Main Street, Ventura. A Funeral Service will start at 12Noon with Reverend Dickey officiating.
