Catherine A. (Duerden) Keough, 81, of Medway, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Keough, Sr. who died in 2002.
Born in Boston on November 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Annie M. (Dolan) Duerden.
Catherine was a resident of Medway since 1964.
Before her retirement, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Hopedale Gardens Nursing Home and the Medway Country Manor. She had also worked at Millis Country Day School and in the after-school program at the Medway High School.
Catherine was a member of the Red Hatters and was a longtime member of the North American Family Campers Association.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel A. Keough of Crossville, TN and Robert A. Isabel of Columbus, GA. She was the mother of the late Richard J. Keough, Jr. and Steven P. and Timothy E. Keough.
She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 52 foster-children.
Catherine was the sister of the late Ralph and Edward Duerden and Marjorie McGonagle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, September 3 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
