Helen J. (Potter) Peneau, a 20 year resident of Billerica and former resident of Tewksbury and longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Winchester Hospital . She was 76 years of age.
Helen was born in Boston on November 4, 1944, a daughter of the late William T. Potter and Catherine A. (McGonagle) Potter. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Helen worked at The Charlestown Co-Operative Bank in Charlestown for over 25 years and retired as Assistant Branch Manager. She was a member of The Old Charlestown School Girls Association. Family was always very important to Helen in her life and she always enjoyed the special moments and quality times she shared with her husband, 2 children, grandchildren and her sisters and brothers..
Helen is the beloved wife of the late William F. Peneau. She is the devoted mother of Michele Samarjian and William F. Peneau Jr. She is the loving Nana to Danielle, Gabrielle, Gary, Julia and Mackenzie. She is the beloved sister of Louise Potter, Therese English and her husband John and the late Sissy Novello, William Potter and John Potter. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen's visiting hours on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon followed by her Prayer Service at 12 Noon in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
