Lutrelle Walker Melchor, 77, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mrs. Melchor at a later date at Willacoochee Cemetery.
Born August 18, 1944 in Axson (Atkinson County), Mrs. Melchor was the daughter of the late John Lucius Walker and Lavada Jowers Walker. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Sue Baldree; two brothers; and one sister. Before retiring, she worked as a seamstress at Fitzgerald Underwear and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Melchor is survived by her husband, Francisco “Poncho” Melchor of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Dianne and Marty Goff of Tifton; one brother, Lawrence Walker of Thomasville; two sisters, Mary Louise Spivey of Tifton and Florence Danford of Enigma; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Angela Goff, Jessica and Jorge Medrano, Rachel and Damon Williams and Kimberly and Julio Howell; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
