David C. Stironek

David C. Stironek, 75, of Markleville,Indiana, previously of Spring Grove, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly following complications from surgery on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born on August 25, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Andrew J. Sr.and Rose Stironek.
David was a graduate of Kent State University and worked in sales for many years with Helene Curtis and Dominicks. He had a degree in theatre and enjoyed the theatre and acting. Golf, vacations and snorkeling in the Caribbean , landscaping and bird watching were some of the things he enjoyed in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Folsom Stironek, whom he married in 2009; two daughters, Darcy (Mike) Spehn and Kelly Stironek ; two step children, Amy (Jason) Gratz and Christopher (Jessica Sonne) Leyh; four grandchildren, Brittany (Eric) Danielson, Travis (fiance' Erica) Jorgensen, Jayden Gratz and Jillian Gratz; sister, Ruth (Bill) Wahl; many nieces and nephews; father-in- law, Alvin (Alice) Folsom; two sisters in law, Tammy (Steve) Doty-Davis and Terry (Dan) Taylor.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings, Gertrude, Andrew, Richard, Loretta, and Rosemary, and mother-in-law, Lois Wood.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Bob Wang officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will take place on Friday at the funeral home beginning at 12 Noon.
