Alexis Lea Bernard (22) of Brockton died August 26th peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Boston, daughter of Joseph Bernard Sr. and Tammy Golob. Alexis survived past her original life expectancy of 12 hours, 3 weeks and lived 22 beautiful years. With the odds stacked against her Alexis began school at the age of 5 and exceeded her goals with the help of her home school teacher Lorriane Shea and therapists Cindy, Rita and Sandy. Alexis graduated Brockton High School in 2019 and enjoyed many activities and interests with her family including skating, bowling, going to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday, Taylor Swift songs, square dancing, fireworks and family gatherings. In 2015 Alexis and her family were blessed with a Disney family vacation given to her by the Make A Wish Foundation, during the trip she surprised her family with how much she enjoyed all the daredevil trill roller coasters.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her stepfather Richard Labossiere, 6 sisters, Felicia Donna-Golob and spouse Christopher Lugo, Tiffany Donna-Golob and fiancé Kyle Leroux, Hailey Smith (Bernard) and husband Jason Smith, Nevaeh Labossiere, Elizabeth Young and Chloe Doherty, 2 brothers, Joseph Bernard Jr. and fiancé Elizabeth Saez and Collin Bernard, a nephew Mesiah Lugo, 2 nieces, Aliana Lugo and Hazel Giovannangeli, her best friend Helen and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Sunday August 29th from 1-4 pm. Cremation to follow.
