Kimberly Christena (Travers) Doherty, 55, of Mendon died suddenly August 26 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital Boston. She was the wife of Patrick P. Doherty for the past twelve years.
Born in Framingham, March 21, 1966, she is the daughter of Raymond W. and Shirley A. (MacEachern) Travers. Kim was raised in Franklin and had lived in Mendon for the past 23 years.
She was a 1984 graduate of Franklin High School.
Kim had been the owner and operator on Renaissance Hair Salon in Bellingham.
She loved the beach, her red wine spritzers, watching nightly tv shows with her daughters, holding court every Monday night at 48 Park Street with friends Keri-Lynne and Anne to solve the world’s problems, and above all, being surrounded by her family and friends. She always opened her home for anyone in need.
In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her daughters, Olivia R. Onorato and Alexandra L. Onorato of Mendon.
She is survived by her granddaughter Mia R. Richard of Mendon.
Kim is also survived by siblings Raymond Travers of Franklin, Holly Yadisernia and her husband Donny of Franklin and was the sister of the late Corinne Brooke.
She is also survived by her brothers & sisters- in-law Jeffrey Brooke of Ashland; David & Becky Doherty of Minnesota, Tammy Doherty of Texas; Cindy and Matt Ripp of Wisconsin and nieces and nephews Mikey, Nina, Giovanni, Neiley, Easton, Brian, Connor, Kaylin, and the Onorato/Tizzano families.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 2 in St. Mary’s Church Franklin at 10:00 a.m. To view Kim's Mass live stream got to :

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
