Annamay Conserva, 93, died peacefully, after some months of declining health, on August 25 at Lowell General Hospital and in the care of Merrimack Valley Hospice.
She is survived by Ralph Conserva, Sr., her husband of nearly 75 years. With him, she raised eight children in Tewksbury: Stephen of Lowell, Mark of Lowell, Lynelle (Bob) LaPointe of Tacoma, WA, Dean (Robin) of Tewksbury, the late Valerie (Rick) Mackey, Ann Marie Cambio of Tewksbury, the late Ralph, Jr, and Matthew (Veronica Triaca) of Concord, NH. She took delight in 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and very many nieces and nephews.
Annamay, daughter of Charles and Theresa Schumb, was raised in Medford with three sisters and a brother, Virginia (Charles) Richardson, Catherine (Don) Vickery, Charlotte (Robert) Fortin and Charles, Jr. (Joanne) Schumb. After being orphaned at an early age, her family was kept together in the family home by her older sisters and her father’s great friend, Theodore Buckley.
Annamay worked at both Bandwagon, Inc., and Muro Pharmaceuticals.
She was blessed with many close friends and dear Tewksbury neighbors and was a communicant of St. Williams’s Church.
Visiting on Monday, August 30, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Farmer and Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, closing with a Prayer Service at 7:45 PM. Her funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, at 11:30 AM at St. William Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury. Burial will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. The Funeral Directors advise that COVID precautions are in effect and visitors are encouraged to wear masks and practice frequent hand sanitizing. The church has designated sections for those who wish to maintain social distance.
In place of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Annamay’s favorite charities: The Oblate Infirmary Fund, 486 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, the St. Jude Childrens’ Hospital, or to a charity of your choice.
