Marton Stephen Toth
Sheet Metal Mechanic for Munters Corporation
LOWELL: Marton Stephen Toth, age 57, a resident of Lowell for the past 18 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away at home in the care of his family and hospice on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Teri Norton and devoted father of Sarah Marie Toth.
Born in Boston on June 14, 1964, he was the much-loved son of Marton and Frances Lee (Conway) Toth of Tewksbury.
Steve was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1983.
Prior to his illness, he was employed by the Munters Corporation of Amesbury for the past 10 years.
Steve was an avid soccer player and was a member of the “Over the Hill Soccer League”. In addition, he enjoyed kayaking, and hiking, and camping trips with his family.
Besides his wife, daughter and parents, Steve is survived by two brothers, David J. Toth and his wife Ellen, of Merrimack, NH, and Andrew M. Toth, of Dunstable; two sisters, Caron M. Mazzaferro and her husband Matthew, of Leominster, and Susan L. Toth and her husband R. Todd Shaffer, of Dover, NH.
He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Rd., Tewksbury. Those attending encouraged to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. At the request of the family, please wear mask and bring own umbrella if weather indicates. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring his memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice
