Michael Lorne Ahl, 70, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Reading, MA, died Wednesday August 25, 2021, in his home, with his family by his side, after a lengthy battle with lung disease. He was born in Melrose, MA on August 10, 1951, son of Hjalmar and the late Irene (Morgan) Ahl.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Deborah (Dunning) Ahl of Londonderry; son, Ryan Ahl and wife Jamie of Londonderry; three daughters, Micaela Ahl-Ford and husband Robert of Tyngsboro, MA, Anna (Ahl) Roberts and husband Kevin of Northfield, NH, and Ashley (Ahl) Gendron and husband Eric of Lee, NH; two sisters, Donna Rodgers of Derry, NH, and Annamarie Ahl of Wells, ME; six grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Maisie, Calvin, Alden and Tommy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Michael loved spending time with his family and celebrating traditions, especially Christmas and the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree. He loved nature and the outdoors, camping with his family, canoeing and fishing. Mike and Deb had a deep love for each other that began in the summer of 1969.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 10:00am in the funeral home. At the family’s request, masks are strongly recommended.
