Richard Earl "Dick" Aynes, 69, of Anderson, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born May 17, 1952 in Muncie, the son of William Earnie and Viola (Pittser) Penrod.
He was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years. He loved riding motorcycles, being with his grandkids. He participated in lots of motorcycle fundraisers.
Dick is survived by his son, Chris (Rosemary) Aynes of Florence, Kentucky; his second son, Kevin (Amanda) Hummel of Anderson; two sisters, Lela (Aynes) Barratt of Pendleton and Linda (Pete) Young of Rockford, Illinois; a brother, Michael Aynes; two grandchildren, Kylie Elam and Ryder Elam; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, abrother, Bill Penrod; his grandmother, Eunice Staggs and a cousin, Rodney Aynes.
Service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Eric Shell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to his grandchildren, Kylie and Ryder Elam.
