Daniel E. McLean, 57, of Manchester, NH, died Wednesday August 25, 2021 in his home. He was born in Somerville, MA on January 27, 1964, a son of the late George F. and Catherine A. (Sullivan) McLean. Dan had been a resident of Manchester for the past 11 years, formerly living in Derry since moving to NH in 1989. Having been raised in Somerville, he was a graduate of Somerville High School. Dan had been employed as a drywall taper with the International Union of Painters and Tapers. Dan and his wife hiked and camped in the White Mountains with good friends. Dan loved going to his son's basketball games and bike riding with his daughter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be remembered with love.
He is survived by his wife, Charlen J. (Dane) McLean; one son, Daniel McLean; one daughter, Jennifer McLean; two grandsons, Edward McLean and Charles McLean; his siblings, George McLean and his wife Pamela, Diane Watters (her late husband John), and John McLean and his wife Anne; his sister-in-law, Donna McLean; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepson, Eddie Dane in 2009, and his brother, Michael McLean in June 2021.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, August 30th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. At the family’s request, face masks are required for those in attendance who are not fully vaccinated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Burn Center, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
