Charles S. Oliveira, 90, of Dartmouth passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 with his family, as always, by his side. He was the husband of Helen (Folger) Oliveira to whom he was married for 65 years.
He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after serving in Japan during the Korean War.
Charlie was a very smart man and taught his boys all he knew regarding electric, plumbing, automobiles, maintenance and his specialty, woodworking. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of Dartmouth; two sons, David and Robert Oliveira, both of Dartmouth; his granddaughter, Holli Oliveira of Dartmouth; his grandson, Brayton Oliveira of Bridgewater; and two sisters, Cecelia and Lorraine.
He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Oliveira and his brothers, Arthur and George Oliveira.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a Funeral Service at 5:30 PM, during the visitation.
