Nadine Marie "Nay Nay" Kemp, 55, of New Bedford died peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021 with her family by her side. She was the beloved daughter of Olive (Houtman) Smith and the late David Smith.
Nadine lived in New Bedford most of her life. She enjoyed cooking and spent several years working at some of the local restaurants.
She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed football above all. She was loyal to her team, "The Cowboys."
She had a caring heart for others and gave of herself. She loved spending time with her Mom.
Her family includes her mother, Olive; her sisters, Juanita Teixeira, Linda J. Kemp, and the late Carleatha "Pat" Nichols. She was aunt to Duane Hernandez, Sr., the late Ross Hernandez, and Brandon Nichols, Raymond and Tauri Teixeira; great-aunt to Duane Hernandez, Jr., Lela Hernandez, Saivona Alvarez, Evan Gonzalez, and Braelyn Nichols; and great-great aunt to Cairo Caetano.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 27, 2021 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
