Evelyn (Bates) Marcello 88, of 10 Mary Scano Dr. the Christopher House, formerly of Plantation St. died Friday (July26) at home after an illness.
Her husband Henry Marcello died in 1981. She leaves a son, John C. Marcello of Worcester, two daughters, Joan P. Wilder of Worcester and Carol L. Arthur of Pennsauken, NJ, a brother, Ernest Bates of Millbury, three sisters, Doris Babowitch of Grafton, Mildred Adam of Northbridge, and Lillian Tancrell of California, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was born in New Bedford daughter of John and Ellen (Clark) Bates.
She worked at Malmstede Insurance Company in Worcester for 15 years retiring in 1984.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday (July 29) at 12:30p.m. in Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. (www.faybrothers.com) Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton. A Calling Hour will be held Monday (July29) from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. at the funeral home.
