Nancy A. (Vargos) Collins, 86, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was wife of the late Herbert H. Collins.
Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late Joseph E. and Nancy (Weedal) Vargos. She was the owner / operator of the former The Animal Country Club in Freetown. Mrs. Collins also worked for Coastline Elderly Services, Inc. until her retirement due to illness in 2002. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son: Sam S. Collins of New Bedford; a brother: James E. Vargos of Rock Hill, SC; a sister: Dorothy T. Bertrand of Corvallis, OR; granddaughter: Crystal L. Collins of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 great grandchildren: Saquel D. Houtman of Grand Rapids, MI and Jayln A. Houtman of Grand Rapids, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
