Michael R. Faria, 82, of Westport passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Durrigan) Faria.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Leonel and Laurinda (Raposo) Faria, he had lived in Westport since 1972. Mr. Faria served in the United States Air Force. He was a New England sports fan, an avid bowler, and he enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. Mr. Faria was a devoted family man.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Kenneth M. Faria and his wife Donna of CT; a daughter: Doreen M. Durr and her husband Reginald of AZ; a brother: Edward R. Faria and his wife Charlene of Somerset; a sister: Gloria Gautieri of N. Providence; 3 grandchildren: Tyler Angier, Zoey Ayers and Colton Faria; a great granddaughter: Ronan J. Ayers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
