SPENCER: Claude J. Roy, 73, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Aug. 17 at BayState Medical Center in Springfield.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Louise P. (Pichette) Roy, his sons Edward Roy and his wife Kerrie of Chepatchet, RI., Jason Roy and his wife Jessica of No.Brookfield and Joshua Roy of Worcester, his daughter Lisa Strout and her husband Lloyd of Spencer. His brothers Andrew Roy and his wife Kathy of Spencer, Norbert Roy of W. Brookfield, his sisters Frances Haltinner of FL., and Diana Aoun and her husband Joseph of Ventura CA, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Claude was a longtime auto mechanic at the former Spencer Sunoco Station prior to his retirement.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Henry and Irene (Noel) Roy and later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
