Josephine M. (Freitas) Mulgrew, 89, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was the wife of Thomas Mulgrew, Jr. for 66 years.
Born in Woburn, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Bogdan) Freitas, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she was a sewing machine operator at River Falls Manufacturing. Mrs. Mulgrew was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all she loved being with family and friends.
Including her husband, survivors include 2 daughters: Debora Vincent and her husband Brian of Dartmouth and Bernice Ducharme and her husband Kevin of Fall River; a granddaughter: Kristen DeLucia and her husband Cliff of Fall River; a grandson: Brandon Ducharme of Fall River; 6 great grandchildren; a sister: Rita Morango and her husband John of Dartmouth. They and her many friends will miss her more than words can express.
She was sister of the late Jenny Pacheco and Eileen Arruda
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
