John F. Hebshie, age 86 of Brockton, died peacefully August 19, 2021. He was born in Brockton one of eleven children of the late Frahat S. and Josephine (Rafoul) and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of Brockton High School, John also received a degree from Curry College in Milton. During the Korean War, John served in the US Army. He was the founder of Hebshie Brothers Real Estate in Brockton.
John he was a lifelong member of St. Theresa Church, the Brockton YMCA and was a frequent visitor of the Brockton Public Library. He will be remembered as being a very generous man who was very proud of his Lebanese heritage and family.
John was the brother of Frederick Hebshie, Jr. of Brockton and the late James, Samuel, and Eddie Hebshie, Alma Hinglebine, Mary Ball, Lila Shaker, Barbara Daly, Helen Henry and Nancy Dastous. He also leaves several generations of nieces and nephews and his longtime companion Blanche.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday August 25, 2021 from 9-10:30 am followed by the Service of Divine Liturgy at St. Theresa Church, 343 N. Main St., Brockton. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In memory of John, please take the time to thank a veteran for their service and our freedom.
