Obituary

Jeanne (Parent) Wilkins, 82, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at High Pointe Hospice House, embraced by her three loving daughters. She was the beloved wife of the late Allen E. ‘Butch’ Wilkins who died in 1998.

A daughter of the late Elie J. Parent and the late Jeanne (Roy) Parent, she was born September 30, 1938, in Lowell and was raised and educated in Lowell.

For over fifty years she made her home in the Pawtucketville Section of the City. She worked in several of the area Mills and clothing factories, mainly for Hathaway Shirt. She then worked as a home health aid until her retirement, receiving an Award from Governor Dukakis as the Number 1 Aid in Massachusetts.

Jeanne loved her family and visits from grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her endless joy as well as visits from family and friends just dropping by to say hello. She loved to have company to chat with or watch TV with. Always a fun loving person, Jeanne loved cowboy TV shows, movies, and western memorabilia. At the age of 80 she enjoyed her large cowboy themed birthday party, an incredible day of family and friends dressed in Western attire celebrating in her honor. Another one of her many passions was Bingo, and at one point, she played Bingo nearly every day of the week, usually accompanied by her best friend, Joan Beauregard of Lowell. She also enjoyed gardening, donuts, and ice cream.

Her survivors include her daughters, Susanne J. Ayotte of Dracut, Elaine Clark and her husband, Richard of Lowell, and Rhonda J. Wilkins of Lowell; her grandchildren, Bryan A. Ayotte of Dracut, Aaron D. Ayotte and his wife, Jamie of Dracut, Nicholas Keith Clark and his fiancee, Bailey Lizzotte of Billerica, Kimberly Jeanne Clark and her partner, Josh Sullivan of Lowell, Ashleigh R. Cleveland of Brandon, FL, Jessica M. Cleveland of Lowell, Heather R. Cleveland and her fiancee, Jeremy Neary of Milford, NH, and Benjamin A. Marchand of Lowell; She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Trevor James Neary, Thomas Alan Bresnahan III, and Gwendolyn Rae Ayotte; her brothers, Roger Parent and his wife, Elaine of Hudson, NH, and Albert Parent and his wife, Elaine Freedom, NH; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and lifelong friends.

She was also predeceased by her brothers Richard Parent and Donald Parent.

You are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, August 25, from 10 until 12 Noon at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 Highland Street, Lowell 978-458-6816.

Her funeral service will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery, 87 Fletcher Dr, Tyngsboro.
