Guirand, Jules Gaspard Alfred of Mattapan formerly of Fond-Des-Blancs, Haiti. August 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Precilie (Lezeau) Guirand. Devoted father of Frantz Alfred Guirand and his wife Lourdes-Gina of Dorchester, Jules Karol Nissage Guirand and his wife Roseclaire of Florida and Fredlyne Guirand of Mattapan. Loving grandfather of Indio, Kyra, Giovanni, Naima and Myra. Loving brother of Mireille Guirand, Lilliane Belizaire and the late Raymonde and Lionel Guirand. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jules, known to us as Alfred, took much pride in bringing laughter and joy to all around him. Whether it was from a historical narrative to an exaggerated encounter, no one ever left his presence without tears of laughter. To his family he was the glue that reminded us of the importance of togetherness. He was a visionary leader that saw the best for and in everyone. His presence will be missed by all, but we rest assured that his soul is resting in peace.
Visitation at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Friday, August 27, from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1540 Blue Hill Ave Church, Mattapan on Saturday, August 28, at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
