WORCESTER____ Mr. Waldemar Joseph Podolak, 71, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Friday, August 6, 2021.
He is survived by his sister, Gabrielle Zaleski and her husband Anthony of Charlton, his brother, Robert Podolak and his wife Adrianna of Douglas, nieces, and nephews. He was born in Zamosc, Poland a son of Tadeusz and Czeslawa (Zolyniak) Podolak.
Waldemar emigrated to the United States in 1963 attended schools in Webster, and went on to graduate from Cornell University with high honors in psychology, his education continued at the University of Wisconsin where he was an adjunct professor. He enjoyed classical music, ballet, the arts, he was very intelligent and culturally savvy. He loved God, and loved his family. His life was interrupted by mental illness when he was still a young man, he struggled for a cure but it wasn’t meant to be. We will all miss him dearly.
A Memorial Mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, is assisting the family with arrangements.
