Theodore "Ted" E. Soter passed away on August 15th at UMASS Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Evelyn (Pallas) Soter and his brother, William Soter.
He is survived by his loving sister, Penelope Wolosz; his nephew David and children
Max and Siena Farnell all of Toronto, as well as an aunt, uncle, many cousins and dear friends.
He grew up in Worcester, graduated from Burncoat High School and post grad at Mt Hermon Prep where he excelled at all sports. He completed his studies at UMASS
where he studied Spanish and Education. He was a life long learner with a remarkable
memory and love of literature. He had worked as a proofreader and copywriter until his complicated battle with Bi-Polar Disorder interfered with employment. He volunteered for several years teaching English as a Second Language and counseled dually diagnosed adults in community settings. He was smart, funny and had an open, loving heart. May his soul be at peace.
The family would like to thank the caring and attentive staff at Donna Kay Rest Home where he resided for the last two years.
