James C. Comosa
Retired Boston Edison Assistant Division Head


GEORGETOWN: James C. Comosa, age 92, a resident of Georgetown for 28 years, formerly of Malden, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Helen A. “Chickie” (Shea) Comosa, with whom he shared many years of marriage.

Born in Boston on May 31, 1929, he was the son of the late James V. Comosa and the late Mary (Tobin) Comosa.

James was raised in Malden and attended Malden schools.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as Assistant Division Head by the Boston Edison Company, where he worked for 35 years.

He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and following New England sports teams.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Comosa and his wife Teresa of West Newbury, Brian F. Comosa and his wife Sue of Amesbury, Elizabeth C. Ronayne of Tewksbury, and John J. Comosa and his wife Lisa of Andover; his grandchildren, James C. Comosa and his partner Erika Brindamour and their son James D. Comosa all of Hampton Falls, NH, Nicholas S. Comosa and his partner Cayleigh Cameron of Newton, NH, Nicole Izzo and her husband Tom of Georgetown, Daniel Comosa of Kensington, NH, John Michael Ronayne and his partner Chase Gibson of Tewksbury, John and Jared Comosa both of Andover. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 20th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a memorial service celebrating his life to be held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
