Davenport, Helen C. (Farmer) 84 of South Boston, died peacefully at her home on August 16 after a long illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Perry) Farmer. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert A. Davenport and cherished mother of Susan Davenport, Maryann Kane and her partner Steve O'Shea, Maureen Davenport, all of South Boston, Michael and his wife Frannie Davenport of Hanover, and the late Paul Davenport. Loving Nana of Colleen and John Kane of South Boston, and Una and Shea Davenport of Hanover. Her love was also shared by her many nephews and nieces. She was one of 13 children, and is survived by her sister Susie Lee of Hanover and James Farmer of Braintree.
