Beth Griffin Fowler, 60, of Ben Hill County, Georgia, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, with Elder Chad O'Quinn officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Fowler was born December 30, 1960, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Willis E. & Peggy Gibbs Griffin. She was a 1979 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended ABAC. She had the biggest heart and she was the biggest hugger. You didn’t leave or hang up the phone without her telling you how much she loved you. She would do anything for anyone and give you the shirt off her back. For a few years, her child was her pride and joy until her grand babies came along. There could never be a love greater than that for her grand babies. It brought her so much joy to spoil them and they knew it. They loved to tell Nana that she worked at Walmart because that was their favorite place to go with her.
Most of her career was devoted to Fitzgerald Water Light and Bond, where she worked for 27 years. She was the Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Manager. Though she didn’t get to enjoy her retirement from there, she did enjoy her job and her work family.
She met Gary playing softball in high school. He was her one and only love. Through 42 years they built a beautiful life together enduring the ups and downs along the way. When you would ask her about marriage advice she would always say “mean it when you vow till death do us part”. She loved Gary until her last breath and through every glass of tea she poured for him.
She loved Jesus! She was an active member of Salem Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. She always said God has a plan for us and we just have to trust it. She was just a beautiful and kind hearted woman that God chose her to be with Him first. She won the race to victory.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary Fowler of Ben Hill County; a daughter, Kaylyn & Adam Venteicher of Pierce, Nebraska; grandchildren: Adley Kay Venteicher, Kip Clemens Venteicher, and Anna Beth Venteicher; and a brother, John Ed Griffin of Fitzgerald. Many cousins and friends also survive.
