Kenneth E. Boyer, 68, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was the husband of Susan R. (Hopkinson) Boyer.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Kenneth J. and Marion L. (Duprey) Boyer, he had lived in Westport since 1975. Prior to retirement, he worked for Texas Instruments in Attleboro. Kenneth was an active member and living historian of the Civil War. He was a member of the 7th Massachusetts, 12th Massachusetts and G.A.R. for 28 years.
Including his wife, he is survived by 3 brothers: Glenn J. Boyer of Fall River and his partner Kathy Robinson, Ronn J. Boyer of Onset, MA and Dann M. Boyer and his wife Melissa of Swansea; 2 sisters: Donna-Rae Bergeron and her husband Robert of Winter Haven, FL and Lynn M. Boyer-Pimentel and her husband Antonio of Tiverton; 9 nieces and nephews; and 6 great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Anne's Hospital, Fall River and New England Hospice for their care and compassion.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
