Mr. Thaddeus “Ted” R. Ogonowski, 75, of Dracut passed away at his home on August 12, 2021. The son of the late Thaddeus and Helen (Kroll) Ogonowski, Ted was born in Lowell on August 9, 1946, and has been an area resident al his life. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his return he graduated from Lowell Technical College with a degree in engineering. Ted was the owner of BOA Construction, which he ran alongside his son Chris and was later an assistant vice-president at B.J. Wholesale Club. He was a master craftsman that could build anything out of wood, he loved farming and was a member of the American Legion Post 315 in Dracut. Ted was an amazing photographer and won awards when he was in the military service . He was a member of the Arts League of Lowell along with his daughter Amanda and submitted many photographs which won prizes. Ted enjoyed travelling throughout the US, Canada and Europe with his wife. They formed a small circle of friends that would get together at least once a month for dinner, card games and just sitting around enjoying each other’s company. He would often attend these dinners with vegetables from his garden or a small wooden gift he made in his shop. His greatest passion was spending time in his shop creating and sharing his craftsman ship with his children and grandchildren and his stepson Nyle and his greatest love was being surrounded by his family ,friends and as well as his dog Maddie. Ted was pre-deceased by his first wife Kathy (Dooley) Ogonowski. He is survived by his wife Donna M. (Cocozziello) Ogonowski of Dracut and her son, Nyle,; one son Chris and his wife Carolyn and their children Cole and Cathy; one daughter Amanda and her husband Tony Frankland of Chelmsford, well as their children Lucy and Oliver ; sisters: Ann and her husband Peter Okun of Cape Cod their children and grandchild, Helen and her husband Rene Parent of Dracut, and Jane Jenkins of Billerica and her children and grandchildren. As well as many cousins, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Mr. Ogonowski’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923, or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O.
